5 tips to manage your morning to grow your hair

OK, we get it you like to have a lie in a morning and most likely wait until the 8th snooze before finally creeping from under the duvet. Alternatively, you might get up at the crack of dawn to drag yourself to the gym or hit work early for that elusive 4pm finish. Either way, the last thing you are thinking about is your morning routine to grow your hair… That’s not 100% a bad thing, but we know you will be missing some crucial steps to ensure your hair looks great in weeks to come. We have compiled the list of ‘must do in a morning’ if you want healthy luxurious hair in a morning.

Morning routine to help grow hair

  1. Don’t wash and dry your hair every day.

If you are looking to grow your hair, washing it frequently will cause unnecessary damage not only to your hair but also your scalp. Washing your hair constantly will cause it to become weak, thus will lead to hair snapping and breaking, which is a sure-fire way to stop hair growth. If you are washing the oils and proteins built in the scalp every day, then your hair also loses this nutrient, which is going to stunt the growth of your new hair, that you have had to build due to snapping…. Just don’t… Wash your hair once MAX twice a week.

  1. Eat a high fat, high protein breakfast

You didn’t know that you are what you eat? Well its time to wake up and smell the coffee. Everything you put in your body contributes to your overall health, this includes your hair. You might even have brittle, damaged, dry hair because of your diet. Eating foods which are high in omega fats (3, 6 and 9) will help with building thick shiny hair. Proteins also form your hair, you might be interested to know that many sports nutrition supplements are actually made from hair… This is due to their high amino acid levels, which form together to make proteins. Ok so that’s the science over, now for the menu, we suggest consuming eggs, salmon with high fiber such as rye bread.  If you are Vegan, this can be switched up by creating an amazing avo-smoothie, combining vegan protein powder, avocado, cocoa powder, flaxseed, 1 avocado and a touch of almond milk and mix in a blender… tastes like chocolate mousse. Thank us later.

  1. Brush from the tips, then head to the roots.

Simple tip not just for the mornings, but for any time of the day. When brushing your hair and ditching the split ends, you should always work with a wide bristle brush (soft tip) and start on the ends first, working your way up the hair, then finishing with the root, before using slow strokes down. When growing your hair the aim is to cause as little damage as possible. This new brushing technique will stick with you forever once you start to notice how little hair you collect in the brush.

  1. Let it loose, even in the up-do

Don’t put too much strain on the roots. The easiest thing in the world is to throw your hair into a high bun… That’s fine, just take the time to do it properly. You need to relax the strain at the root, you can do this by starting to twist into a bun 1cm higher than you normally would, give it a try now. So you will find it drops slightly and feels a little loose, you can always use sticks or grips to hold it into place and feel like it wont fall off. It may sound like effort, but by putting less strain on the root, you are less likely to damage both new and old hair thus helping to encourage growth. Give yourself an extra 2 mins and you will grow hair faster than ever (well, damage less hair than ever).

  1. Take a hair vitamin to help you grow your hair

You knew this was coming. Getting into a routine is the only way to ensure something becomes second nature. If you are deficient in vitamins and minerals that help to promote healthy hair growth and also helps to maintain healthy hair, then your hair wont thrive. Taking Hair Growth Vitamins for 7 days every day then once every 3 days wont get you the hair of your dreams. Your body doesn’t just decide to start producing the vitamins and minerals needed just because you forgot it in your handbag at work… You need to get into a routine and stick to it. SOS Hair Care Vitamin Drink has been designed to taste amazing and has 13 key ingredients to help with hair growth (plus it helps to grow nails and promote healthy skin… Bonus). This shouldn’t be a chore, it’s a saviour, developed to provide you with more hair health benefits than any other hair care vitamin on the market, just one drink a day, everyday, will give you amazing results and grow the hair of your dreams.

Don’t take our word for it… Set your day up the right way, think about what you do on the inside and what you do on the outside. By setting a routine for your hair you will also be benefiting from self care and preservation, which will also help you mentally to prepare for the day.
